Estate Planning and the Administration

former Friendly’s restaurant. The entire

both outside and inside. The offices are
located on the ground floor providing

comfortable setting with plenty of free,
off-street parking.
“Wills, Trusts, Health Care Proxies,
Powers of Attorneys, and other Estate
Panning documents should be periodically
reviewed and updated if necessary,” says
Atty. Farrissey. “It is common practice
to have periodic medical exams and
periodic dental exams. I strongly
recommend periodic legal check-ups to
make sure your Estate Planning goals
will be met.” A family’s situation can
change dramatically in a short period of
time. Also, many of the laws concerning
Estate Planning have undergone dramatic
changes. Atty. Farrissey, a member of

National Association of Elder Law

In addition to Estate Planning and the
administration of Estates, claims for
personal injuries due to automobile
accidents and claims for Wrongful Death
are the others areas that this
experienced team handles. Atty.
Farrissey believes that it is important

Atty. Farrissey’s law practice has been
in Somerset since 1981. He is a graduate
of Providence College and the New
England School of Law in Boston. He is
licensed in all Massachusetts Courts,
the U.S. Federal Courts in Boston, and
the U.S. Supreme Court. He has been an
Arbitrator for the American Arbitration
Association. Atty. Farrissey also served
as a Civil Mediator at the Fall River
District Court for 5 years. For the past
10 years he has been the Chairman of
Fall River Board of Assessors and has
been a member of that Board since 1994.
Since 2002, Atty. Farrissey has also
served as a Director of St. Anne’s
Credit Union.
Atty. Jill E. Grochmal is the most
recent enhancement to the firm. Prior to
joining the firm, Atty. Grochmal was a
Bristol County Bar Advocate at the New
Bedford Third District Court and the New
Bedford Juvenile Court. Atty. Grochmal
is also a graduate of Providence College
and is a dual degree graduate, earning a
Juris Doctorate Degree from Roger
Williams University School of Law while
also earning a Master’s Degree in Marine
Affairs from the University of Rhode
Island at the same time. She is licensed
to practice law in all Massachusetts
Courts.
